- Player evaluations and coaches' draft to determine teams and leagues for ages 7+
- End of the year Division Tournaments
- New name and uniforms - Steamboat Baseball!
Our focus is to offer a competitive baseball environment where we teach the game of baseball while developing individual skills and a love for the game. We will have a lot more to share with you in the coming weeks.
COACHES NEEDED! Please register at the link above if you are interested in coaching this year. No experience is needed. We will show you everything you need to know.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Thursday, April 7th. 5:30 - 6:30pm - PARENT MEETING
Join us at Steamboat Christian Center to go over all of the details for the 2022 League. This important meeting is open to the entire Steamboat Baseball community and we highly encourage you to attend. As you know, Steamboat Baseball is an all-volunteer organization that relies on the participation of our players' parents and guardians to make it run.
Sunday, May 1st. 1 - 5pm - Steamboat Baseball Field Day
Bring the family and your work gloves for a fun afternoon of food, music and community service. Help as we clean up our fields and get them looking perfect for the season. Stay for 30 minutes or the entire day. More details to follow.
Monday & Tuesday, May 9th & 10th 4 - 7pm - Player Evaluations for Ages 7+
- - VERY IMPORTANT - - All players 7 and older must sign up for a 5 minute time-slot (sign-up link will be sent out 2 weeks prior), where they will take part in an evaluation of throwing, catching, and hitting. Registered coaches are present and use the evaluations as a basis to form competitive and balanced teams. Please don't miss this date as it will determine which division your child will play in for the season. There will be a makeup date on Wednesday, May 11th if needed.
Player evaluation will include:
- 5 fly balls and throw to 2nd base
- 5 ground balls and throw to 1st base
- 5 hits off a pitching machine, on the 5th hit, run the bases to 3rd
Tuesday, May 10th - Coaches will draft teams for Ages 7 - 14
Rosters will be set and sent out by Wednesday May 11th. This is also when you will find out your practice and game schedules. TBall Leagues will also be completed.
Saturday, May 21st - Opening Day!
Opening Day 2022 is going to be an exciting day with food, music and lots of Baseball. Let the games begin!
Last 2 weeks of July - Playoffs and Championship Games
The playoff brackets will be set based on the end of season standings. Playoff practice and game times are TBD.
