We are excited to announce that we are able to have a youth baseball program this summer!

We are excited to announce that we are able to have a youth baseball program this summer! We understand that this is late notice, but we have been working diligently behind the scenes to make this a reality for our players and families. Things will look different this year, but fun, safety and skills development remain our top priorities!

Registration opens on Monday, June 15. To register your player(s) go to https://www.yampabaseball.org/

The season will start on Monday, June 22 and will conclude July 30.

Registration fees* have been adjusted for this season as follows:

·      T-ball: $10

·      Machine Pitch: $25

·      Minors/Majors: $50

Please contact Karlyn at [email protected] for any questions regarding registration fees.

Things will look different! Yampa Valley Youth Baseball board members and volunteers are hard at work to pull this off in the name of FUN! At this time we don’t have a pulse on how many players will sign up, and therefore don’t know what to expect in terms of formal practices and games. We ask that everyone show up with a positive attitude and willingness to be flexible as we put together the best experience possible for our players. That may mean that some days we play games, some days we scrimmage and some days we have skills clinics, depending on how many kids show up. At the end of the day our goal is to have fun, be safe and develop skills!

Each player and volunteer will be required to sign a COVID-19 Waiver before participating in the youth baseball leagues.  This waiver will be available on the website and will need to be printed and signed prior to the first day of summer league.

The safety of our players, coaches, volunteers and families is, as always, most important. As such, we are implementing the following changes:

·      Players are encouraged to bring as much of their own, labeled equipment (gloves, helmets and bats) as possible.  Each player should also have their own water bottle and personal hand sanitizer if possible.

·      The League is investing in additional baseball equipment and sanitizing/cleaning supplies.

·      We are asking for parent volunteers to help sanitize equipment, as well as parents to bring sanitizer for their own children.

·      We are minimizing the number of coaches.

·      We will not be using the dugouts. Instead, we are asking parents to bring folding/pop-up chairs for their player(s) if desired.

·      We will follow both local and state guidelines as well as USSSA guidelines, which will be posted on our website in the next week
 ·      We will encourage all players/parents to leave the fields immedaty after your practice/game so we can have time to sanitize the equipment and prepare for the next league to play.

We are committed to doing our best this season, and look forward to playing ball!

Thank you,
